Measured Jominy HardenabilityCurve Analyzer

Test basis: ASTM A255 and ISO 642 specify the Jominy end-quench test method; this page only analyzes hardness data entered by the user.
50% M criterion: Carbon-content mode calculates only within 0.10–0.70% C; manual mode is for a critical HRC confirmed by metallography, a standard, or a company specification.
Interpolation limit: Linear interpolation is performed only between adjacent measured points; the last point is not extended outward.

Describes the medium response for the stated probe and test conditions. It is not the surface or core curve of a production workpiece.

02 / PREDICTED

Software-predicted curve

Calculated from a stated model and inputs. It is a prediction, not measured production data.

03 / WORKPIECE

Real-workpiece internal measured curve

Comes from internal points in the actual workpiece and is used to assess the real cooling process against post-quench hardness, microstructure and properties.
